TELUS sent out a press release this morning confirming the upcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate. We posted this on Friday that it was coming soon and in the release there’s still no official launch date. However if you want to read into things a bit there’s an upcoming event in Toronto to celebrate this device launch. They stated that “On Wednesday November 10 at Yonge and Dundas in downtown Toronto, Samsung and TELUS will kick-off a full day Gaming Expo, featuring the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+. The event will bring in four Canadian World Cyber Game champions in a head-to-head gaming dual”. Also, good news for those who are planning on getting the Fascinate… it comes with OS 2.1 Eclair but is confirmed to be on an upgrade path to 2.2 Froyo.
Android OS 2.1, has a 4-inch super AMOLED display (resolution of 800 x 480), 1 GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, LED flash and video capabilities, Samsung’s AllShare and Social Hub apps, WiFi, access to the Android Market (now over 100,000 apps), Google Maps, Google Talk.
What prices do you think this will come in at? $499.99 on no-contract and the 3-year for $149.99?
