It’s always great to see a Canadian company do well globally and Toronto-based Polar Mobile is getting worldwide recognition for building and powering some of the top mobile apps. Polar has created apps mainly for the BlackBerry and iPhone and their collection includes The Hockey News, TIME, TheStreet, BusinessWeek and the CFL.
More good news as they’ve been recognized as one of the “50 Most Engaged Workplaces” in Canada. Polar is run by CEO Kunal Gupta and they’re the only company in the mobile space that made it on the list, no carriers are listed as being in the top 50.
All 50 companies were judged in 8 categories of employee engagement: communication, leadership, culture, rewards and recognition, professional and personal growth, accountability and performance, vision and values and corporate social responsibility.
