Fido released the Sony Ericsson Naite ( J105a) earlier this week and it’s one of their greener devices as it’s made from recycled plastics. The Naite is available for $25 on a 2-year contract or $150 no contract. We got hold of one of these and will do a full review over the next few days… until then we took some time to unbox this eco-beast and found the Naite – for it’s price point – to look and feel like a sleek phone.
The Naite has wieghs only 84 grams and has a 2.2-inch QVGA display (resolution of 240×320), overall dimensions are 108.0 x 47.0 x 12.6mm. On the box it looks like Fido is targeting a social aspect to this as they have placed Twitter and Facebook stickers on it, so we’ll check it out and see how well those perform. In addition, the Naite also comes with a 2 megapixel camera (digital zoom), video capabilities, has a FM radio, Bluetooth, speakerphone, media player and can hold up to 8GB with a microSD card.
