Apple to make Bing default search engine on it iPhone?

If the rumours of the upcoming iPhone OS 4.0 are true, the multi-touch and multi-tasking are dreams when it comes to the device. A new rumour has hit the interweb with Apple in talks with Microsoft to have their search engine Bing be the default… rather than Google.

Business Week has “two people familiar with the matter” that state “Apple and Google know the other is their primary enemy…Microsoft is now a pawn in that battle.”

BW also says that “A deal between Apple and Microsoft may mean iPhone owners would automatically get Microsoft’s Bing as the main search engine, possibly requiring users to actively change phone settings if they want to search via Google. Google is now the default search engine on the iPhone. To search via Bing, a user needs to download a Bing application”
