It’s honestly amazing to see how the mobile community is donating so much money towards the relief efforts over in Haiti… the total number is estimated to be well above $8 million. In Canada all carriers have made contributions and Koodo Mobile is joining also.
They’ve started an initiative that will see them match dollar for dollar what customers text in. Of course there are some stipulations… “A maximum of $5 can be donated per text, up to six times a month” and the fine print says “Koodo Mobile will match all text donations made from a Koodo mobile phone, up to $50,000 CAN. Donation matching only applies to donations made from Koodo Mobile customers.”
$50k goes along way! To help out all you have to do is text the word HAITI to 45678. All funds will be going to The Salvation Army Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief.
