Calgary-based Multiplied Media have developed an incredibly successful free app for the BlackBerry called “Poynt”. The basis behind the service is that you use the GPS within your device to search for people, businesses, restaurants and movie times.
At CES they are on hand and announced by the end of January that iPhone users will be able to jump all over it. Check out the video as you’ll see some pretty cool ways they are taking advantage of all the features of the iPhone… such as when you search for a business and find the number, then hold the iPhone to your head it automatically starts calling. Never needing to press the call button. Kinda cool… and it’s coming soon.
