New entrant Data & Audio Visual Enterprises Wireless Inc. (DAVE Wireless) has worked out a deal with T-Mobile USA that will give their customers voice and data roaming while visiting the States. The deal is a reciprocal roaming agreement that allows both carriers to roam on each others network.
“DAVE Wireless customers will be able to roam on T-Mobile USA’s growing 3G network and on T-Mobile USA’s GSM network throughout the United States. T-Mobile USA customers will be able to roam on DAVE Wireless’ UMTS
Dave Dobbin, President of DAVE Wireless said “UMTS is considered to be the next generation of wireless technology and as we move forward with our launch, we will be looking to develop more diverse roaming partnerships to provide our customers with affordable access to voice and data wireless services outside our target markets and internationally. The network technology strategy we adopted will not only allow us to provide our customers with the latest and most innovative handsets, but also offer the most technologically advanced wireless services.”
It was announced back in May that DAVE Wireless will be offering regular cellphones, BlackBerry devices and Android devices when they officially launch next year.
