“BlackBerry” focused store launches

Our famed Canadian wireless king has some new info. Wireless Giant, a retail store which is headquartered in Madison Heights has an exclusive contract Research In Motion’s BlackBerry for the rights to launch the world’s first stand alone location. The first location is in Farmington Hills, Detroit.

Nadine Staffor, marketing director for Wireless Giant said “It’s a concept store and we don’t know where it’ll go from here,” she said, adding that the results of the retail center will be evaluated before any decisions are made. “There’s no (plans for) other stores at this point.”

Mark Guibert, vice president of corporate marketing at Research In Motion. said that the store is a “very focused retail experience,” Customers have the luxury of can buying anything for the device: a phone, carrier, software and accessories from staff who are Blackberry enthusiasts.
