Apple unveiled the AirPods 5 during its September iPhone event.
The fifth-gen buds use a new multiport acoustic architecture and next-gen Adaptive EQ for improved sound-quality. In particular, the AirPods 5 offers get 50 per cent more noise reduction over AirPods 4. Apple says this is “the best ANC [active noise cancellation] in an open-ear headphone design.”
In total, it offers up to five hours of battery life with ANC and 20 hours total with the case. Additionally, the AirPods 5 allow you adjust volume by swiping up and down on the stem, adaptive audio between ANC and transparency in response to background noise, live translations and more.

The AirPods 5 launch on September 18 for $179, with a $209 option available that includes a wireless charging case.
