Telus is reportedly offering some Public Mobile customers a $24/60GB 5G migration plan.
Users on RedFlagDeals reported the offer, though it seems very much like a your-mileage-may-vary situation. It also might be limited to stores in B.C.
The plan includes 60GB of 5G data with speeds capped at 250Mbps, unlimited calling to Canada and the U.S. (from Canada), and unlimited texting. It also includes 1,000 long-distance minutes to China, Hong Kong, the U.K., India, Mexico and Bangladesh.
The $24 price is only for 24 months and will go up to $34 after that time (barring any price hikes before then, which carriers love to do).
RedFlagDeals users also noted that they got the deal with no SIM fee or activation fee.
Overall, this seems like a pretty solid deal, so if you can get it, you probably should. To put this deal in perspective, the plan Public offers at this price is $23/6GB 4G. To get at least 60GB of 5G data with Public, you’d need to subscribe to its $45/mo plan. You can check out other Public plans here.
Again, your mileage may vary with this one, but Public customers might want to pop into their local Telus store to see if they have this offer.
