The iPhone 16 series was recently revealed, and you may wonder how it’s different from your current iPhone. We’re only going back two generations, so if you have an iPhone 13 series device, you don’t have to update your phone — iPhones are easily good for up to six years, at least.
All iPhone 16 series devices sport the Dynamic Island, thinner bezels, the Action button, and the new Camera Control button. This particular button works in landscape and portrait mode, and features force and touch sensors for various gestures.
You can open the camera app, take pictures, start recording, and adjust the zoom, exposure, and depth of field. It even works with Apple Intelligence. While Apple Intelligence will work on older devices—I currently have it on my 15 Pro Max—the iPhone 16 series was built from the ground up with Apple Intelligence in mind. You can even use the Camera Control, point it at an object and get information about it, and use Apple Intelligence to send it to a friend or add it to your Calendar.
