Google Gemini’s Imagen 3 and Gems are now rolling out

Imagen 3 will provide photorealistic AI images to Advanced, Business and Enterprise users

Google is rolling out new features starting today. These features are now available with the newly released image generation model Imagen 3 and Gems, a way to set up custom AI tasks that will be rolling out across Gemini, Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise in the coming days.

Google has set up premade Gems for different scenarios. Gems can help you break down complex topics and make them easier to understand or brainstorm a gift for a friend’s birthday. They can also remember detailed instructions to help with repetitive or complex tasks.

Gems are rolling out in most languages.

Imagen 3, on the other hand, focuses solely on generating images with words. However, now you can get them as photorealistic pictures, textured oil paintings, or a fun claymation scene. Similar to Imagen 2, Google is incorporating SynthID, a tool for watermarking these images, so people can check that the images are AI-generated. Further, Google also says that it doesn’t support the creation of photorealistic, identifiable individuals, depictions of minors, or excessively gory, violent, or sexual scenes.

Imagen 3 is rolling out in early access to Gemini Advanced, Business and Enterprise users in U.S. English.
