There may never be another Essential Phone, but at least for the time being, the PH-1 continues to receive software support from Essential.
Late last week, the company issued a new Android P Developer Preview over-the-air update. The update addresses a number of issues with the original Essential Phone Android P Developer Preview build, bundling together fixes for cellular connectivity, dark mode and Bluetooth.

Despite the seemingly dire situation at Essential, the company says it will maintain its promise of providing the Essential Phone with two years of software support and three years of security updates.
