CraveTV partners with New Metric Media to build ‘Letterkenny’ brand worldwide

Bell’s CraveTV subscription screaming service has announced a partnership with New Metric Media to build popular comedy series Letterkenny into a worldwide entertainment brand.

Bell describes the initiative as “a comprehensive multi-year partnership that includes an unprecedented production commitment,” as well as support for existing and new ancillary brand extensions and partnering on international sales and distribution of the series.

As part of the new agreement, CraveTV and New Metric Media will collaborate on the production of more than 40 new episodes.

Beyond the creation of the new episodes, the partnership includes cross-promotional support for the recently-announced, 26-city Letterkenny Live! tour, which features series stars Jared Keeso (Wayne), Nathan Dales (Daryl), K Trevor Wilson (Dan) and others.

Letterkenny Live! will begin in Halifax on February 28th, while the companies plan to extend the tour to the U.S.

The CraveTV and New Metric Media deal also includes partnering on the sale and distribution of the series to the international market.

Letterkenny is shot on location in and around Sudbury, Ontario and follows Wayne (Jared Keeso) and his friends as they engage in conflict with their small-town rivals. All three seasons of the show are currently streaming on CraveTV.
