According to documents sent to the Globe and Mail, a court injunction by Tim Hortons franchisees threatens to delay the release of the chain’s mobile ordering app beyond its expected March 30th launch date.
Apparently, a battle between the franchisees and Tim Hortons, which is owned by Restaurant Brands International, has ensued over the coffee giant’s order-and-pay app.
The restaurant owners’ new association, the Great White North Franchisee Association, reportedly warned in a letter sent on March 21st that the launch was being pushed through without enough testing or staff training.
Little else has been revealed about these deliberations, but MobileSyrup will update as more information becomes known.
