Microsoft has just sent a note to members of the media, inviting them to an event it will hold in New York City later this month. Scheduled for October 26th, the company says it will use the event to detail “what’s next for Windows 10.”

Indeed, in contrast to its massive hardware-focused event last fall, Microsoft is not expected to announce a slew of new hardware. We’ll likely see some new Surface-branded peripherals, and possibly even a Surface all-in-one, but the company is not expected to refresh its Surface Pro and Surface Book lineups. Microsoft will instead focus its attention on a number of third-party devices, as well as its vision for the future of Windows 10.
