Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gets shoutout during Google’s Pixel keynote

While demonstrating Google Assistant during his company’s Pixel keynote, Google CEO Sundar Pichai repeatedly mentioned Canada’s leader in his keynote.

With the intention of showing how the Google Assistant uses a knowledge graph of Google search results to answer questions, Pichai asked the Assistant to name the Prime Minister of Canada.

It promptly responded, “Justin Trudeau.”

Google Search runs on a knowledge graph equipped with over 70 billion facts and growing. Pichai claims that — armed with Google Search — Assistant is potentially the smartest virtual assistant in existence today.

Google Assistant is also compatible with Google Home, Google’s new apps Allo and Duo, and will soon be coming to several third party partners.
