After spending a significant portion of his social media efforts last week whining about being bullied via his Instagram account, Justin Bieber, Canadian pop star and one of the social media platform’s most prolific users, has deleted his Instagram account, leaving his 77.8 million followers without an egg throwing Messiah to follow.
Sunday, the star who was once primarily known for his bowl-like locks, threatened to make his Instagram account private if Instagram users didn’t stop posting rude comments on a photo of him and 17-year-old Sofia Richie, the younger sister of reality TV star Nicole Richie, who is married to Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden.

“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand. If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.” pleaded Bieber in desperation, an individual who once spent the significant portion of an evening in a Brazilian brothel.
In response, Selena Gomez, formerly of Wizards of Waverly place, a once popular children’s Disney sitcom, stated, “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol — it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you. They were there for you before anyone.”
Bieber fired back with, “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love.” To which Gomez retorted, “Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love.”
The Biebs, however, posted one final comment, suggesting that Gomez perhaps engaged in an illicit relationship with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, “I cheated … oh I forgot about You and Zayn?” The following day Gomez apologized for her outburst via Snapchat.

All posts have since been deleted from both celebrities accounts, though fans have grabbed screenshots of the heated interaction, because nothing every really disappears on the internet.
At one point early on in their careers Gomez and Bieber were in a relationship together.
While neither party has confirmed anything yet it’s assumed 22-year-old Bieber is in a relationship with the 17-year-old. Richie also posted a series of black and white photos with Bieber that have since been deleted.
Instagram users can temporarily disable their accounts and then reactivate them at a later date, which is likely the route the “Sorry” singer took. It’s also possible that he deleted his account entirely.
