Google Clock gets a user interface overhaul and custom alarm music

Google Clock

You probably haven’t realized it, but Google’s Clock application is frequently updated, and its latest revamp brings a number of new features to the app, including a fancy new blue-infused user interface.

The latest software update, version 4.2, brings a number of notable changes to the simple yet extremely useful application that will improve its user experience for most people. Ascending volume, allowing alarms to gradually increase rather than blare incredibly loud, shocking you out of your deep slumber, is one of the main features added to the app.

Another feature included in this update is the ability to set custom ringtones for timers and alarms. This means that you can now wake up to The Legend of Zelda II’s battle theme or Final Fantasy VI’s combat music, just like you’ve always dreamed.

The app has also received a user-interface overhaul, moving its menu button to the top-right corner and also making it available within every area of the app.

The latest iteration of Google Clock is currently rolling out on a regional basis across the Google Play Store. Download the latest version of Google Clock at this link.
