As you may have seen, Google Play Music launched a new, ad-supported, free tier last week. Unfortunately for those of us north of the US border though, we won’t be seeing these stations on Google Play in Canada for at least a little while. However, today Samsung Canada has announced that there will be at least one way for music fans to enjoy the full Google Play Music service up in the Great White North.
For a limited time, new buyers of the Samsung Galaxy S6 will enjoy a free six-month subscription to Google Play Music. Other Samsung phones won’t miss out on all the fun either, but they will be limited to a three-month subscription. This includes the entire Google Play Music catalogue, over 30 million songs, as well as curated radio stations and playlists for any occasion. This is in addition to already being able to add 50,000 songs from a personal music collection to Google Play Music.
Samsung Canada has announced that it will also be sending teams out to give interactive product demos at music festivals across Canada this summer. So if you’re interested in finding out more about Google Play Music and Samsung, be sure to look out for that between concerts in the coming months.
