Moto 360 users can expect to see the Android Wear 5.1.1 update arrive on their smartwatch. Google and Motorola announced the latest OS will start rolling out OTA (over-the-air) over the next few days. This update enables the Moto 360 to have always-on applications, the ability to draw emoji in response to incoming messages, a new way to access apps and contacts, and WiFi support.
The Moto 360 was officially released in Canada on October 31st of last year. The smartwatch has seen a significant price drop recently with some carriers and retailers selling the device for less than $200. Motorola is expected to announce a second-gen Moto 360 in the coming months.
