As part of its Q3 2014 financial results, Facebook released new information about the company’s significant mobile penetration.
The social network now claims a staggering 1.12 billion mobile users, who contribute 66% of the company’s ad revenue. Of those users, 703 million check Facebook daily on their mobile, and 456 million are mobile-only, an increase of 14.2 % from last quarter and one-third of Facebook’s entire user base.
Overall, Facebook’s mobile growth for the quarter was 4.67%, a significant decrease from Q2’s 5.9% clip, considering the company’s dependancy upon mobile ad revenue.
