Samsung’s got a new entry-level Android device, and it’s both familiar and intriguing. The Galaxy Ace Style is the first from the company to ship with 512MB RAM and KitKat, testing Google’s claims that the newly-launched OS version is more consistently performant with less system memory.
Other than that, the 4-inch device sports a 800×480 pixel LCD display, a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, a 5MP rear camera, a VGA front camera, 4GB of internal storage, a 1,500mAh removable battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and a “new” version of TouchWIZ called Essence.
Available in “Cream White” and “Dark Gray,” the device is expected to go on sale during April, though there have been no Canadian announcements just yet. This is actually a significant downgrade from the Ace 3, which launched in July of last year, as that device had LTE support and 1GB of RAM. If the device does come to Canada, expect it go debut at $0 on contract and roughly $150 outright.
