Amazon is feeling festive, or is appearing that way in order to convince you to download from its Android app store.
The company is running a promo beginning today, December 24th, until December 28th, wherein a download, free or paid, will earn the user a $5 promo credit to his or her account. The credit appears to expire at the end of March.
The caveat is that you will have to have a US-based Amazon account, as the promo doesn’t appear to be open to the Canadian app store. This shouldn’t be too hard, as you don’t need to provide a credit card or US address to order from Amazon.com, so the promo should be relatively easy to take advantage of in Canada.
