The much-loved, oft-neglected email app for iOS, Sparrow, has finally been updated to support the larger iPhone 5 screen.
While Google purchased the creators of the excellent Sparrow OS X and iOS apps back in July, the company promised just bug fixes and the occasional new feature — though nothing has been done to change the lack of push notifications in the iPhone client.
Another addition to the app is Passbook support, to allow users to open Passbook-specific attachments and have it link with the app.
If you’re an iPhone user who hasn’t jumped on the Sparrow bandwagon, now might not be the best time, but it’s a far better experience (besides the lack of push, which you can add using Boxcar) than the Mail.app or Google’s own Gmail app for iOS.
