Rumours of a smaller iPad have been swirling for months. The size of the ‘iPad mini’ is expected to come in at 7.85-inches and today, according to John Paczkowsk from All Things D (who’s been incredibly correct before), reports that Apple will be holding a media event on October 23rd to unveil the tablet.
“Apple will hold a special event this month at which it will showcase a new, smaller iPad. People familiar with Apple’s plans tell us that the company will unveil the so-called “iPad mini” on October 23 at an invitation-only event.”
Previous reports indicated that Apple has ordered upward of 10 million ‘iPad minis’ for a release in Q4, potentially November. Still no word on a price point, but again, expected to be around the $300 mark.
