SwiftKey 3 beta updated with improved recognition algorithms and Smart Space functionality

SwiftKey 3 is fast becoming the third-party keyboard of choice on Android. Sure, Swype has the style, but SwiftKey gets it done. With virtually no lag, an insanely smart prediction algorithm and an overhauled puntuation system that allows for a wider-than-normal spacebar, the keyboard replacement is a winner.

Today the company has updated the SwiftKey 3 beta with some nice improvements:

– Improved prediction algorithms
– Better, more consistent punctuation key behaviour
– Smarter Smart Space functionality (which will make it easier to enter email addresses etc)
– A refined experience in Google Chrome Beta
– Fixed missing predictions on the longpress of @ and .com
– Improved gestures
– Eliminated lag on letter pop-ups
– Various other minor bug fixes and usability improvements

Another bonus of today’s update is that you no longer have to be registered on the company’s VIP blog to download the files. Head on over to SwiftKey’s blog for links to the phone and tablet versions.
