Mobilicity is coming off their biggest quarter in their 2-year history, bringing in a total of 63,000 new subscribers. Stewart Lyons, Mobilicity President and CEO, said they continue “to shake up the industry as the fastest-growing new entrant” and had a 2011 ARPU (average revenue per user) just above $30 (which is incredibly low). So now we’re into the second month of 2012 and Mobilicity is on the verge of coming out with a couple new promos that might slightly increase the ARPU to $35.
We’ve been informed of two new promos coming down the pipe. First, a $25 Unlimited data, talk and text plan – this was the famous Back-to-School promo. This is for “new activations only” and can apparently be combined with the upcoming $100 port-in offer on February 29th. Next is the Friends and Family discounted rate plans. The all-in $55 plan that includes everything: talk, text, data, caller ID, Voicemail, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, 3-Way Calling, North American Long Distance and Global Text Messaging drops to a ridiculously cheap $35/month. Also, the $45 plan that includes everything but data falls to $25/month. These are only valid at the 5 Mobilicity corporate store locations and for is only available to friends and family of Mobilicity employees.
Look for these plan starting on February 29th.
