Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA), cell phone service providers, handset manufacturers and recycling companies has launched “www.RecycleMyCell.ca” – a Web-based free initiative for Canadians to recycle their old cell phones. There are currently 3,500 cell phone recycling drop-off locations.
CWTA President and CEO Bernard Lord said “Canada’s wireless companies have long been leaders in developing green
business strategies. The new Recycle My Cell program further illustrates that thinking green doesn’t need to be complicated, yet the results can have a major impact on protecting our environment and enriching the communities in which we live.”
