Last week it was revealed that HTC was going to be releasing a Android-based tablet sometime in Q1. This is currently rumoured to be called the “Flyer” and no specs were known other than it’ll run OS 2.3 and that it looks like a big Desire… however Norway-based blog amobil.no has sources that state the upcoming tablet will be a rival to the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Apple iPad.
Specs will include a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, HDMI Out, supports download of up to 14.4 Mbps and upload 5.76 Mbps, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with face detection and LED flash, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera that can be used for video calling. The site states that HTC is also building a 10-inch tablet that will eventually support LTE networks.
