The Roguelite deck-building game developed by LocalThunk has now passed five million units. The company shared the news on X/Twitter, thanking the Game Awards.
The last few weeks have been pretty wild.

During The Game Awards, it was nominated for many awards, including Game of the Year, and won the Best Indie, Best Debut Indie, and Best Mobile categories.
Following this tweet, Wout van Halderen, the PR manager for Balatro, added that the title sold 3.5 million copies during the first week of December and another 1.5 million units following the Game Awards. Additionally, the 5 million figures sold don’t even include the number of downloads it has seen on Apple Arcade.
