Meta introduces new Ray-Ban Meta styles for prescription wearers

The glasses start at C$579

Meta is introducing new Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses styles designed for prescription wearers. The new styles support nearly all prescriptions and are designed for comfort. Meta is also rolling out new colour options, lenses and updates for its Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses.

Ray-Ban Meta Optics (for prescription wearers) come in two frame designs, Blayzer and Scriber. Blayzer comes in two sizes and is a rectangular frame, while Scriber is more of a rounded design. Both smartglasses offer lightweight designs, premium lenses, and interchangeable nose pads. Additionally, the new prescription smartglasses come in Matte Black, Transparent Black, and Transparent Dark Olive, as well as seasonal colours: Transparent Stone Beige, Transparent Matte Ice Grey, and a new Dark Brown charging case.

The new Optic Styles come out on April 14 and start at C$579.

Meta has three new limited-time-only seasonal colours and lens combinations. For the Skyler style: Shiny Transparent Peach with Transitions Grey Lenses; for Headliner, there’s Matte Transparent Peach with Transitions Grey Lenses; and for Wayfarer, there’s Shiny Transparent Grey with Transitions Brown Lenses.

Meta is also introducing new colour and lens options across Oakley Meta Vanguard and HSTN, including Prizm Dark Golf lenses for more contrast and colours. Vanguard will also be available in Prizm with transition lenses for the first time, and can adapt to any light for optimal outdoor performance:

  • Vanguard Black with Prizm Black Lenses
  • Vanguard White with Prizm Rose Gold Lenses
  • Vanguard Black with Prizm Transitions Ember Lenses (arriving in May)
  • HSTN Black with Prizm Dark Golf Lenses
  • HSTN Light Curry with Clear to Brown Transitions Lenses

Meta is also launching new AI features for the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta, including nutrition tracking, hands-free summaries and recall for WhatsApp and live translations for 20 languages this summer, including Mandarin, Korean, Japanese and Arabic.

The Meta Display will also get neural handwriting, display recording, Spotify shortcuts, Instagram Reels and pedestrian navigation. We’ve also learned that Meta still isn’t ready to bring the Meta Display to Canada, unfortunately.
