Bell’s 2-for-1 Cineplex movie tickets perk for Virgin Plus members has returned.
With the promotion, you can get two tickets for showtimes for the same film between Sunday and Thursday for the price of one admission. The offer can only be redeemed through a promo code that you’ll receive in Virgin’s My Benefits app. (If you haven’t yet, you’ll need to the Cineplex benefit to your profile for the promo code to be texted to you.)
You can then use that promo code via Cineplex’s website or mobile app during the checkout process. It’s important to note that you get one promo code per month, and it must be used for showtimes before December 15th, 2024. You’ll also want to keep in mind that Cineplex charges its ridiculous $1.50 online booking fee on each ticket (reduced to $1 for Scene+ card holders and waived entirely for CineClub members).
While it’s been a relatively quiet period for the box office in terms of new releases, Warner Bros. did just release Beetlejuice Beetlejuice to solid critical reception, so you could always use the promo for that. For what it’s worth, I also just watched a new thriller at Cineplex called Strange Darling that was an absolute blast. (I would recommend going in dark, if possible.)
Some other notable movies coming to theatres this month include the animated Transformers One (September 20th), George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s Wolfs (September 20th before a release one week later on Apple TV+) and Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis (September 27th).
