Google still hasn’t officially released Android 8.1 Oreo, but owners of the 2016 Pixel twins can look forward to some features taken directly from the 2017 Pixel duo.
According to Android Authority, the search bar in the 2016 Pixel phones will be updated to be more in line with the 2017 Pixel twins.
“It’s a more unified search experience that combines the app drawer and desktop search experience,” reads an excerpt from the Android Authority story.
The search bar on the 2016 Pixel phones will also be updated to mimic the appearance of the 2017 Pixel phones.
According to Android Authority, the server-side update rolls out today, and will be available through the Android 8.1 developer preview.
