American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla is formally unveiling its electric semi-truck on November 16th, 2017.
The company made the announcement in a series of formal invites to media organizations, including TechCrunch.
Rumours about Tesla’s upcoming semi-truck have been circulating for almost a full year, and Elon Musk even tweeted in April 2017 that the product would be unveiled in September 2017.

September, however, came and went, without an electric semi-truck.
TechCrunch reported that the semi-truck delay was a result of Tesla’s efforts re-establishing energy generation in Puerto Rico, following the descent of Hurricane Maria.
