During Apple’s keynote back in early September, the company announced a new special edition line of Apple Watches in partnership with French fashion house, Hermès.
The branded Watches, made of the same stainless steel case as the regular Watch line, feature one of three leather band designs in a variety of colours, along with a custom Hermès face. The Single Tour band is a traditional leather band in several colours, while the Double Tour wraps around the wrist a second time. The Cuff is a large bracelet-like band through which the watch strap is looped.
The first of Apple’s collaborations around its Watch, the Hermès line expands the product into retail locations the technology company wouldn’t have otherwise been welcomed, at least in an official capacity.
The 38mm Watch Hermès with a Single Tour band starts at $1500 CAD, rising to $2,050 CAD for the 42mm Cuff band.
While the Hermès line is not available online, Apple is offering the new line in two Canadian stores — Toronto’s Eaton Centre, and Toronto’s Yorkdale locations.
