HTC One M9 users across Canada have begun receiving notifications that the big 900MB Android 5.1 update is available to download. HTC Canada confirmed to us that the latest version of Lollipop has been pushed to all carriers, including Bell, Rogers, Telus, Virgin, Koodo, SaskTel, Wind and Videotron.
This update includes a fix for the Stagefright vulnerability, and, as expected, brings several big improvements to the One M9, focusing on camera quality and battery charging performance.
If you don’t already see a prompt asking you to download the update, you can manually check for it via Menu > Settings > About Device > Software Update > Update.
