Sony’s Xperia Z3 Compact is the company’s “small” flagship for 2014 and it’s now available exclusively through Bell priced at $549.95 off-contract.
Announced IFA last month, the Xperia Z3 Compact sits alongside on the regular, full-sized version of the Xperia Z3 and enjoys the same flagship status. Aside from the display (720p versus the 1080p panel in the Z3) and the RAM (2GB versus 3GB), the specs for the Z3 Compact are very similar to the Z3.
The compact packs the same 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 chip as well as 16GB internal storage, and the same waterproofing and dust protection that has been present in the Xperia Z line since the original Xperia Z phone launched at CES 2013. It’s also got a 20.7MP ExmorRS sensor and wide-angle 25mm G Lens.
The Xperia Z3 Compact will be available unlocked via Sony’s own retail stores for $599.99 in black, green, orange and white. Contract pricing is $79.95 on a two-year agreement in black and white.
