Rob Bruce, President of Rogers Communications, has decided to “pursue other career opportunities” and depart the company. Bruce will officially stay until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition. Bruce joined Rogers back in September 2001 as the EVP and CMO and quickly climbed up the ladder to lead its wireless division in 2005. In addition, Melinda Rogers will also be transitioning away from her position as SVP of Strategy and Development, but will have a role within Rogers Ventures.
It seems like new President and CEO Guy Laurence is cleaning house. Yesterday it was revealed that long-time executives John Boynton and Shelagh Stoneham were given their notice.
“The Times They Are A-Changin'” – Bob Dylan
Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you
Is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’
Or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’.
