Lumia 930 and 630 rumoured to be Nokia’s first Windows Phone 8.1 devices

It’s been quite a while since Nokia launched a moderately-sized worldwide flagship — November 2012 to be exact. While the Lumia 1020 and 1520 have launched since then, each have had their quirks, and appeal less to the core smartphone market than a niche audience.

With the Lumia 930, Nokia will likely offer the first Windows Phone 8.1 experience alongside a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon processor and a 20MP camera, similar to what is found on the Verizon-exclusive Lumia Icon.

A render from @evleaks shows that the Lumia 930 shares many design traits with the Icon, but lacks the carrier-specific branding we’ve come to expect from the carrier.

Nokia is also expected to unveil the low-cost Lumia 630, a follow-up to the large-sized, medium-power 620 that launched last year.

No word on specific specs or release dates for these devices, but we’ll know more in a few hours.
