After overhauling the iOS version of its app just before the New Year, Foursquare has released a significant update to its BlackBerry 10 app. The new version of Foursquare features redesigned venue and profile pages with a flatter, more iOS-like design, as well as new information like delivery options for each venue integrated with Grubhub and Seamless. The Foursquare home screen has also undergone changes, featuring a Highlights carousel with pertinent local information.
The Foursquare team has always been keen on taking advantage of specific platform features, and the BlackBerry 10 version is no different. BlackBerry 10 Foursquare users can now check-in directly from the Hub, and can now share to BBM from a card. The version tracker notes that overall BBM connection and sharing reliability has greatly improved, in addition to a host of other bug fixes.
The new version of Foursquare for BlackBerry 10 is available on BlackBerry World right now.
