A quick update for those Canadians with the HTC One or the upcoming HTC One mini. Google unveiled Android 4.4 KitKat yesterday and promised its rollout to several devices in the ‘coming weeks,’ namely the Nexus 4, 7, 10, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play Edition.
Following suit, a few manufacturers have teased a rollout schedule for their own upgrade intentions. HTC declared that “In North America, we’ll deliver Android 4.4 with Sense 5.5 for the HTC One within 90 days, and the HTC One Max and the HTC One Mini will follow.”
We Canadians tend to receive updates a bit later, so we reached out to HTC Canada for a statement and they confirmed with us that we will follow the same path, but not for the One Max as that device will not launch in Canada.
