Following its slashing of US roaming rates by 50%, Bell has announced a reduction in price for those roaming in Bermuda and most Caribbean islands.
In a press release, Bell states the discounted rates will go into today and will see “a 47% price reduction from the previous price,” and customers can scoop up the “$50 Zone 1 30-day Travel Bundle” and receive 25MB of data, 50 anytime minutes and 50 sent and unlimited incoming text messages. It used to cost $95.
In addition, Bell has also reduced the cost of the “30-day Travel Add-on” where customers can now buy 100 MB of data for $75 — it was previously $125 for 50 MB — plus its voice add-on is now $50 for 100 anytime minutes and text add-on is now $30 for 200 sent with unlimited incoming text messages.
Wade Oosterman, President of Bell Mobility said, “Canadians told us they want to use their smartphones a lot when they travel, and they want the price to come down. We’ve listened, and Bell continues to work with our international telecom suppliers to reduce the cost of international roaming for Canadian consumers.”
