Bell has rolled out some changes on several plans today. Both to their voice only plans and also voice and data. First, as we’ve stated before 2012 is the year for mobile content and Bell is pushing Mobile TV incredibly hard. It’s not exactly known how many Mobile TV subs Bell has – 300,000 was the last verified number – and their goal is “to bring Canadians the best content available”. Bell recently increased the number of channels subscribers can watch, has ownership in the Montréal Canadiens and announced a partnership with Rogers to acquire a percentage of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (Leafs, Raptors)… and all this will increases their Mobile content and ARPU (average revenue per user).
Last week Bell included 5 hours of Mobile TV viewing to their Fab 10 $60/month plan, and now have extended it the 5 hours of Mobile TV data usage to their voice and data plans above $65/month (I think the $100 plan already had it).
Next, Bell has changed up the Fab 10 45 and 55 Voice plans include Unlimited Text, Picture and Video messaging, local calling starts at 6 p.m., the Fab 10 $45 plan has 500 minutes and the Fab 10 $55 has increased to 1,000 minutes/month. In addition, there’s a new $40/month 100MB plan that has flexible data – it’ll cost you $10 for 200MB up to 500MB; then $10/GB for each additional GB.
Lots of changes/addition. Brochures are below…
