Acer has announced a new Android device that’s going to be shipping globally starting April 2011 – no word on who will carry this currently unnamed device or when it’s landing in Canada… but the specs are impressive. They have dubbed this “100% Smartphone, 100% Tablet” and it’ll come with a “a huge 4.8″ widescreen with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a super cool chassis”, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, front-facing 2 megapixel camera for video calling, HDMI port to connect your media to an HD TV, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. Also, no word on what Android OS it’ll ship with.
Looks way better than the Acer Liquid E – which is the only Acer smartphone we currently have in Canada.
