The blazing fast Bell Novatel Wireless U547 Turbo Stick is now available (first dual cell product). This can apparently “Double your speed” compared to other internet sticks as it has the capability of reaching “download speeds of up to 42 Mbps* and average speeds of 7-14 Mbps”. That asterisk is there for a reason because to potentially reach those speeds you’ll have to be located in the downtown Toronto core and sign up for an additional add-on of $10/month. More build out of the coverage will be coming soon in 2011.
As for price points: $199.95 no-contract; 1-year for $174.95; 2-year for $149.95 and 3-year for $49.95. Specs of the 42 Mbps Stick has overall dimensions of 82 mm x 30 mm x 11 mm, weighs in at only 24 grams and can hold up to 32GB with a microSD card.
