Samsung Galaxy S III gets minor OS update, brings improved stability

Samsung Galaxy S III (SGH-i747M) users today will be able to download an update over the air (OTA) that brings “improved stability”, bug fixes, better battery life and you can now adjust the screen brightness from the drop down menu. It’s still at OS 4.0.4 — no Jelly Bean yet — but we’re getting various tips that the Bell update is 100.27MB, while Rogers is 86.08MB. TELUS customers have also been pushed the update, no word yet on all the carriers who have the SGIII in their lineup.

The update should be waiting for you. If not, check Settings >> About Device >> Software Update.
