Apple will hold its annual September iPhone event today, and if you want to follow along with the company’s announcements, we’ve got you covered.
If you want to tune in to the event, it starts at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on September 9. Everyone can tune in via a free live stream hosted on Apple’s website as well as on YouTube.

Apple’s ‘Surprise and Shine’ event is expected to be a big one with new iPhone hardware, including the anticipated first folding iPhone.
Rumours suggest Apple will call it the iPhone Ultra, but truthfully, we don’t know what the foldable will be called. Regardless, it seems likely Apple will unveil a book-style foldable with inner and outer displays, kind of like Samsung’s recent Galaxy Z Fold 8.
Alongside the folding iPhone, we’re expecting to see the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max sporting a sleek new dark cherry colour and other upgrades, like a larger battery and variable aperture camera lenses.
Finally, we’re also expecting to see the Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4, AirPods 5, and possibly some other products including a new Home hub, Apple TV 4K, and/or HomePod mini.
However, for those looking forward to the regular iPhone 18 model, it looks like Apple will save it for another event. Rumours have long indicated Apple would split its iPhone launches into two parts, with the usual September event focusing on the Pro (and foldable) models while the standard and budget ‘e’ series would arrive in the spring.
Other devices we’re not expecting include a new budget Apple Watch SE. Don’t expect new Macs either — Apple has some new models coming, but will hold another event for those.
On top of the new products, Apple has a new CEO — John Ternus will host his first event in place of Tim Cook (who may not make an appearance at the event at all).
All told, it should be quite an interesting event overall. I’m very curious about the foldable iPhone and to see how Ternus handles his first event as CEO. Let us know what you’re looking forward to in the comments below.
