Motorola shows off new Moto Things, Razr World Cup edition at CES

Motorola has shown off new products for the Moto Things line, alongside a new FIFA World Cup 2026 edition of the Razr smartphone.

The new products in the Moto Things lineup include the Moto Tag 2 and the Moto Pen Ultra, both of which are coming to Canada. There is also a new Moto Watch, but it isn’t coming to Canada.

To start things off, Motorola unveiled a brand-new version of the Motorola Razr for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which is taking place across North America. Motorola states that the green and gold design “features geometric shapes and fluid motion that capture the energy, inclusivity, and momentum of the tournament.”

Additionally, the device includes FIFA-inspired personalization options, such as exclusive wallpapers and a ringtone of the official tournament theme. Users can also add a watermark to the bottom of photos, just in case you want to brand your photos from the tournament.

The FIFA World Cup 2026-themed Razr will be available in Canada on Motorola’s website for $999.

Moving on, the Moto Pen Ultra works with the new Moto Razr Fold and turns the device into what the company calls “a versatile canvas and work station.” The pen offers a finer tip, pressure sensitivity (for adding depth), tilt detection (ideally for shading in artwork), and palm rejection technology on Razr devices, allowing the Pen Ultra to continue writing smoothly even when a hand is resting on the screen.

The pen’s tip is reportedly ultra-fine, and Motorola says it “delivers pinpoint accuracy, so users can sign, draw, or write with ease.” The pen also features a Quick Access Toolbar, which lets users choose from a wide range of brushes, adjust magnification, effortlessly take notes, and personalize the pen to fit their workflow.

The pen also includes AI-driven features such as:

  • Quick Clip: Allows users to quickly highlight and send content to a new or existing note using the Quick Access Toolbar.
  • Speed Share: Gives users a curated list of people that they are most likely to send notes or annotations to.
  • Sketch to Image: Takes basic sketches and turns them into full-blown images.
  • Google’s Circle to Search: A widely adopted feature that allows people to quickly search for something they see with a simple highlight, scribble, circle, or tap.

As mentioned earlier, Motorola also released the Moto Tag 2, which gives users 500 days of battery life and is powered by ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, Bluetooth Channel Sounding, and the Find Hub network. These three technologies enable the device to provide precise location tracking, emit a sound to help find lost items, and use Google’s Find Hub network. The Moto Tag 2 also features IP68 water and dust-resistance.

As a small note: if you do want to integrate the devices into the Moto Tag app or the Find Hub network, you have to be running Android 9 Pie and above.

Both the Pen and Tag 2 will be coming to North America within the coming months.
