Thousands of wireless earbuds recalled by Health Canada due to fire hazard

The affected units were sold at Giant Tiger stores between July 17 and Oct. 14

Thousands of True Wireless Earbuds are being recalled across Canada due to burn and fire hazards.

The earbuds, which were sold by retailer Giant Tiger, were listed in a recall notice issued by Health Canada on Thursday. According to the recall, the USB cable used to charge the earbuds was manufactured with the wrong wiring material, which could lead to overheating when plugged in, posing a fire risk.
